Service Description

MedPath China is an information coordination platform that connects international patients with healthcare providers in China. Our services include:

  • Providing information about medical facilities and specialists in China
  • Facilitating initial consultations and appointment scheduling
  • Coordinating medical record transfers between patients and hospitals
  • Offering visa support information for medical travel
  • Providing interpretation and communication support

Important Disclaimer

MedPath China is NOT a licensed medical entity.

We are an information coordination service only. We do not:

  • Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Employ licensed medical professionals
  • Operate as a healthcare provider or facility
  • Guarantee medical outcomes or results

Refund Policy

1. Service Fee Refunds

Our service fees (Basic: $9.9, Standard: $99, Premium: $999) cover information coordination services and are generally non-refundable after the service has been initiated.

2. Exception Cases

Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate Payment: If you accidentally made duplicate payments, we will refund the excess amount.
  • Service Not Initiated: If we have not begun coordinating your case, a full refund may be issued.
  • Technical Errors: If a payment error occurred on our end, we will process a full refund.

3. Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of payment
  2. Provide your payment confirmation and consultation ID
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request
  4. Allow 5-10 business days for processing

4. Non-Refundable Scenarios

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Change of mind after service has been initiated
  • Medical treatment decisions made independently
  • Hospital or doctor fees (these are separate transactions)
  • Travel, accommodation, or visa-related expenses
  • Services rendered beyond the consultation scope

Note: Hospital treatment costs are separate from our service fees and are governed by the respective hospital's refund policies. MedPath China has no control over hospital billing.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

1. Medical Services

MedPath China shall not be liable for:

  • Medical outcomes, results, or complications arising from treatments
  • Actions, negligence, or malpractice of partner hospitals or medical professionals
  • Medical advice or recommendations provided by healthcare providers
  • Patient health conditions, whether known or unknown
  • Reactions to treatments or medications prescribed by hospitals

2. Information Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information:

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of hospital information
  • Medical fees and availability are subject to change without notice
  • Hospital accreditation and certifications should be verified independently
  • Information on our website is for reference only

3. Maximum Liability

In no event shall MedPath China's total liability exceed the amount of service fees paid by the user for the specific service giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.

4. Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for:

  • Services provided by Wise or other payment processors
  • Hospital billing disputes or financial arrangements
  • Travel arrangements, visas, or immigration matters
  • Third-party websites linked from our platform
  • Acts or omissions of partner hospitals

User Responsibilities

By using MedPath China services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete personal and medical information
  • Maintain confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Understand that we provide coordination services, not medical advice
  • Consult with healthcare professionals before making medical decisions
  • Review and understand hospital policies and procedures
  • Provide informed consent for medical treatments directly to hospitals
  • Handle payment transactions with hospitals separately from our services
  • Notify us of any changes to your contact information

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MedPath China, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our services
  • Your interactions with partner hospitals or medical professionals
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Medical treatments, procedures, or outcomes
  • Any inaccurate information provided by you

Service Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend services at our discretion, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Abusive behavior toward staff or partners
  • Failure to comply with hospital requirements
  • Non-payment of service fees

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
